Named after Ha Ha Tonka State Park in their native Missouri, the group's relentless touring has seen them become one of the most buzzed about young bands in America, appearing at Lollapalooza, Sundance Film Fest, SXSW, CMJ while touring nationally as a headlining act, as well as supporting many great bands such as Old 97s, Murder By Death, Langhorne Slim, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Someone Still Loves You, Boris Yeltsin, Ludo, Meat Puppets and more. On March 28, 2011 Ha Ha Tonka was a guest on The Travel Channel's flagship show, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations. It was one of the first times in the show's 5-year run that a band has been invited to perform. The band’s new record Death of a Decade debuted on Billboard Top 200 and was followed by a near sold out CD release tour in April/May 2011. The band completed a 50+ date fall headline tour which included a performance at Austin City Limits Festival as well as a multitude of radio shows. The band appeared at several festivals including Floydfest, Bristol Rhythm and Roots, Kentucky Derby Fest, Twangfest and more in 2012. Ha Ha Tonka just finished recording the follow-up to Death of a Decade and are currently on their 2nd European tour.
Me Like Bees is an American Indie Rock band hailing from the heart of Joplin, Missouri. Formed in 2009 the band has traveled thousands of miles and played hundreds of shows across the nation. By 2013, they released their first full length record “The Ides” (LoveWay Records) produced by Jeff Smith (Never Shout Never, Trust Company, Carter Hulsey). The Album received rave reviews by many internet media outlets.
By June of 2013, Me Like Bees won a spot to compete in the Ernie Ball Music Man Battle of the Bands (17th Consecutive Year). After passing many rounds and surpassing many opponents, Me Like Bees won the final showcase at the House Of Blues in Hollywood California on January 17th, 2014, outlasting over 20,000 other bands.
In 2015 after completing a leg in Van’s Warped Tour, Me Like Bees has just finished a new EP “There will be time” with award-winning producer, John Feldmann (Five Seconds of Summer, The Used, Panic! at the Disco, Goldfinger, Good Charlotte, Plain White T’s) set to release in the fall. They also just finished a nation wide tour with Never Shout Never (Warner Bros) spanning from the world famous Troubadour in Hollywood, California to Brighton Music Hall in Boston, Massachusetts.
Me Like Bees is always touring and making new fans wherever there’s a venue to take them. They have a passion for writing witty songs with complex but catchy melodies. Keep an ear to the ground for them as they finish their second full-length album next year.
