SPUNE PAID INTERNSHIP: MARKETING & BOOKING

Spune is looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about live music and interested in learning multiple aspects of the music industry. This paid internship will encompass the entire event production and promotion process from prospecting for artists, booking, marketing and settling shows.  Success in this role will require self-motivation and the desire to learn real life job skills applied in a fast paced, hands-on work environment. Hours can be flexible to accommodate your schedule. Nights and weekends will be required.

Job Description & Learning Objectives:

MARKETING:

Marketing Campaigns & Promotions

  • Contribute to brainstorming, planning and implementation of promotional programs to drive event attendance, increase event attendance & revenue.

  • Organize and participate in promotional, grassroots and street team endeavors.

Website Maintenance & Digital

  • Basic website management and updates.

  • Creation of digital marketing assets (if applicable)

Social Media Management

  • Online and social media content creation and scheduling across multiple channels.

BOOKING:

Artist/Show Advancing & Settlement

  • Assist Sr. Talent Buyer with show advances, buyer contracts, show settlements

  • Show support & work (requires evening availability)

Calendar Maintenance

  • Assist in Maintaining Local Venue Calendars

Talent Prospecting, Research and Project Management

  • Prospecting for ticketed concerts

  • Researching new artists 

  • Imputing information into Project Management System

  • Administrative communication with Agents & Managers

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Internship can be eligible for school credit (current school enrollment not necessary)

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must have an avid interest in music, knowledgeable about artists and genres, and an overall interest in learning about the music industry

  • Must be able to commit to 30 hours per week (Monday - Friday, some weekends)

  • Knowledge of social media sites and tools, and an active participant in social networking

  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills

  • Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks

  • Knowledge of graphic design software preferred but not required (Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, etc.)
